Concerns on Home School Free
The store is a home furniture and decorating store. Positive and inspirational atmosphere. That is something I needed.. up beat and of interest. Well… I can only work part time. I use to work retail for most of my life.. but been out of it a long while now. I forgot how the hours depending on the business can take up your time. Well.. the store closes at 5:30. It seemed I would have my nights free but I will eventually in the near future be sent to homes to sell and bring with me much merchandise to sell. Well.. I have to work every Sat. and Sun. also.
The job is about 15 if that minutes away from where I live as well. ( I decided firmly).. that I want to go to school for Cosmetology. At this job currently.. I am only making $8.00 and 2% commission shared with one or two other employees and all mine when I go to homes eventually alone. Cosmetology I already looked into will give me the same or a dollar more hourly , plus commission on products and tips that average 300-400.00 a week.
I will definitely be better off investing in my education to have a higher earning potential. However.. the classes are held in the school I want to go to at night, but… Saturdays are mandatory. The classes start at 5:45 and I get out at 5:30. I would have to leave at least an hour earlier to make it there with traffic. Or.. the least by 5:00. And.. not work Sat. Just Sunday. I am not sure if they would go along with this or not. Once I was there a bit.
Did I pick the wrong job’ Or do I look for/find another that can work more around my schedule IF>>> This place won’t once I am there a little bit’ I don’t want them to know I am going to school unrelated to what I will be doing there. Because when they hired me they asked me in a way that was encouraging education but to suite their business. In the same field. I think that the opposite sends them a message I won’t be staying long.. and why take the job in the first place.
Please … Help. I have no idea what to do.. and being locked into not being able to attend school will be hurting me financially.
Thanks.
