Concerns on Home School High School Diploma
This might be an ironic question, but how can I go from high school graduate to a responsible young adult’
I graduate on Sunday and my adult friends think I’m pretty cool, intelligent, and ready to take on the world. However, I’m getting nervous as any HS graduate would get about leaving home and going to college, never to return to the comfort of the nest of home.
I’m going to college this year and am ready for anything life throws at me:
But how can I make the transition of turning into a responsible young adult’ To me, a responsible young adult does the following:
1. Pay for their own things, school bills, etc.
2. Know how to behave in public and who and how to respect people of all kinds.
3. Are responsible workers who show up on time to work and work dilligently.
4. Keep their records and banking organized (list of shots recieved, bank statement information, passports, diplomas and licenses, etc. filed and stored properly for convenience)
5. Knows how to budget and keep and eye on and manage their money, checks, and bank accounts.
6. Is wise on what’s good for them and acts upon these beliefs (ex. calling a cab for drunk friends, quits after 1 beer, not walking home with a person they just met, etc.)
7. Knows what diet works for them and makes an effort to stay in shape and good health
8. Fixing problems as they arise (ex. making the decision to go to the doctor when something’s up, confronting relational issues, meeting a deadline, etc.)
What other tips are there for going from kid to young adult’
I want to be classy, responsible, hard working, and wise.
